I‘ve had these two cards sitting on my computer’s hard drive for a little while now, but as they have now been given to their recipients – my two most frequent visitors and commenters – I can finally safely share them here 
Since acquiring the gorgeous – and my favourite – Sale-a-bration set Botanical Blooms, I had been busting to combine it with the Watercolour Wash technique I had seen on Splitcoast some time ago and filed away in the stampin’ recesses of my brain for future reference. Incidentally, those recesses could do with some de-cluttering at more frequent intervals… It’s on my list
I kept the cards very simple as I wanted the watercoloured panel to be the main focus, but managed to sneak in a tiny sampling of the delicious extra wide double stitched ribbon, and I also added a row of pierced dots below the raised panel too.
The recipients will be well known to all of you who frequent here – none other than my lovely mum (aka Nanny) and my beloved Aunty Mary (mum’s sister), both of whom are wonderful presences in my life and whom I love so very dearly.
As it turns out, I should probably be putting together another thank you card for each of them as they BOTH spent the day here last Friday helping me sort, tidy, arrange, purge and otherwise make fit for human habitation my stamping room! It’s still a work in progress, but oh how lovely to see the desk and floor again! Yep, it was THAT bad….
