I am having a small love affair with hot air balloons at the moment, specifically the ones from Up, Up and Away. There are endless colour and layout opportunities in this one sweet stamp set.
Today I used it to make a card for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #161…
Here’s my contribution to the challenge:
It’s a whole heap brighter than what I would usually do, so it’s a bit of a leap outside my comfort zone. I’m not sure if my own personal jury is still out on it or not… Might try the same sketch in some earthy colours that are more my usual speed I am also going to try my luck in Karen’s Sweet Sunday Sketch Design Team casting call.
Wish me luck!
SARAH’S STAMPIN’ TIPS:
- Sponge the edges of cardstock to add depth, particularly when layering the same or similar colours eg the Lucky Limeade DSP “hills”
- Stamp tone on tone to add an image without making it a feature, like the birds in the sky, stamped in Pool Party ink onto Pool Party cardstock
- Itty Bitty Buttons and Glue Dots are a match made in stampin’ heaven…!
