Pre-primary Teacher gifts

Last year was the final informal school year before my big girl heads into Year 1 this year.  I can hardly believe how time has flown but indeed it has, and although the smallest uniform we can get her is rather caftan-like and mid-calf in length, off to big school she will go in a few short weeks!

She had three lovely teachers in pre-primary this year and our school year wouldn’t be complete without just a little somethin’ of the handmade variety!

First of all we made up a big batch of shortbread and having managed to find brand new kraft window bags as opposed to the recycled ones like in this post (thanks for the heads up Keesh!) we made up a bag for each of her teachers, as well as one for the principal, one for the office lady and one for the Kindy teacher who sometimes took the Pre-primary class.

Then for the teachers I made up some little monogrammed books using the On Board 5×5 Art Journals.  I just love all of the Designer Series Papers and took the opportunity to break out two of the packs from the Summer Mini.

Inside the books I added four dividers using Kraft cardstock and the Spiral Punch.  The dividers are for nothing in particular and could be removed if not put to use but I figured that they were a good place to add some more designer paper and tie the whole look together.

I just love the On Board Art Journals and the amazing variety of things that can be done with them!  I ran a class using them to make a birthday book similar to these monogram books towards the end of last year and will post the final product of that shortly too.

Oooooohh these are gorgeous+++. There’ll be lots of ‘Happy Dances’ going on around the place because as always your blog is such a joy to look at and read. These books are beautifully done so there’s some other stuff to add to my wish list …..sigh. Biggest wish though is that you continue on this path of growth and balance and I just bet you will. You’re a real inspiration and give so much xxx

Where did you get the bags? What a lovely idea for gifts.

  • Sarah

@Tamara – they’re from a place in Myaree (Perth) called Vital Packaging but you could probably find them at other packaging places too :)
