No swaps yet, but an overdue card!

I have still to get a photo of all the fabulous incentive trip swaps, but I have got quite a lot of un-posted stuff to share and will endeavour to do so in some spare moments over the next week or so.  Starting with a card for a delightful young lady who made her wordly entrance a good few weeks ago now!  You might recall that I was challenged recently with a non-gender specific baby shower card….  Well the little one in question arrived on July 30 – a precious angel by the name of Elsie Caitlin!  Is that not the sweetest name?!

Taking inspiration from a card I saw a while ago on on Kristina Werner’s blog, I made this little creation…

I just love the little bird from Nursery Necessities and he has certainly put in the hard yards for me, having been used on almost every baby card I have created since I got that set!

Congratulations Tashie and Damien on the arrival of your beautiful little girl :)

Lovely Sarah , that little bird is very sweet. Did you use the scallop punch then take out the middle with the larger plain circle punch? Makes a perfect frame for the bird doesn’t it? The possibilities of that are endless aren’t they? Hmmm I’m going off to try it. xxxxx

ooh ooh ooh I did it!!! Except in the opposite order. You’d have laughed at me trying to get my scalloped circle lined up to use the punched circle right in its centre. So….yes logic prevailed and I did it the ‘proper’ way. I even held my ‘frame’ up over yours on your card on the computer screen. Sad really isn’t it? LOL What a terrific idea Sarah I love it, you’re so clever! xxx

Super super gorgeous card Sarah. I agree – how cute is that name!

Aunty Mair you make me laugh! I can just about visualise you sitting in front of the computer holding up your scallop circle frame with one eye closed in order to line it up! It is a great idea – not my own as all my best ideas tend not to be :)
