Just Add Water{colouring}!

Over at Just Add Ink this week, we have a colour challenge for you!  I chose to bust out my Aquapainter and Watercolour Paper this week, hence the title of my post.

Here are the colours…

And here is my card…

jai-16-colour

I had no idea where I was going with this, I just sat and watercoloured while my small girl played Dora games next to me on the computer.

Aside from the occasional utterance of some Spanish phrase or other from the little one, we sat mostly in companionable silence doing our thing.  Such a nice thing to be able to do :)

If I’m not back before Sunday, which at this stage is a fairly likely scenario, Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mums out there.  May your day be filled with lovely things that hopefully don’t include a bunch of kitchen appliances from the department store catalogues that always appear at this time of year.

Seriously, can we not have something frivolous and whimsical instead of white and practical for Mother’s Day?!

Although having said that, I’d change my tune quite happily for a Thermomix….

  • Love everything about the card, the colours, the layout, it's great. PS if you ever need any justification for a Thermomix just tell hubby that it's the same (or less) than a coffee machine and does a whole LOT more, i've had mine for about 3 years and still LOVE it, I could go on and on about it (just like we do with stamping) but won't bore you :)

Gorgeous card, I love the way you have coloured between the flowers but never tried it myself...why? don't know, but definately will soon : ) I am VERY lucky to have a thermomix in my kitchen & they are good, really GOOD...a friends mum told me after tasting the flourless chocolate cake (torte caprese) that it was worth buying one just to make that!!!
  • This is just lovely Sarah! This bloom is one of my Favourites to watercolour too but I've never coloured in between them before - must try it!

  • Hi Sarah - love the card. And as a Thermomix owner they are the best kitchen appliance ever (I was lucky enough to get mine as a Xmas present a couple of years back - and I don't usually like the idea of kitchen appliances as gifts!!)
