A parade of petals, the final day of Sale-a-bration and the end of the Birthday Bash!

I can hardly believe that after two months of freebie fun and frivolity, we're staring down the barrel of the final day of Sale-a-bration for 2014.

There has been a fabulous array of offerings this year and I've given many of them a good going over, but I might have to say that my favourite has been the Petal Parade stamp set. Lending itself to everything from sweet and simple, to more involved and detailed projects, it's been a bit of a winner for me.

Buckle up for a little journey through some of the cards and projects that I've made with this set and its co-ordinating DSP, Sweet Sorbet.

A few of my favourite things - chalk boards and spiral flowers

chalkboard spiral flower close.jpg

The chalkboard technique has been around for a little while now, but having recently acquired the Hardwood (wood/clearbackground stamp, I've had some fun bringing a bit of added realism to it.

I demonstrated the chalkboard technique at a workshop last weekend and used this card along with two others to show how one simple idea, with just a few tweaks, can provide a number of different outcomes, suitable to a number of different occasions.

Stamps:   Yippee Skippee, Hardwood   Paper:   Naturals White, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White, Fresh Prints DSP Stack    Ink:   Whisper White, Soft Suede   Accessories:    Banners Framelits, Spiral Flower Bigz Die, White Embossing Powder, White Stampin' Chalk Marker, Stampin' Sponges

Stamps: Yippee Skippee, Hardwood Paper: Naturals White, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White, Fresh Prints DSP Stack  Ink: Whisper White, Soft Suede Accessories:  Banners Framelits, Spiral Flower Bigz Die, White Embossing Powder, White Stampin' Chalk Marker, Stampin' Sponges

I also love using the White Stampin' Chalk Marker to add an extra chalkiness to the project, although clearly, I could use some practise in the drawing of a straight line....

This is why I stamp - the lines are included, no drawing required.

Here are the other two examples I showed at the workshop and gave to the hostess...

Stamps: Sketched Birthday, Hardwood Paper:   Naturals White, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Whisper White Ink: Whisper White, Soft Suede Accessories: Stampin Write Markers - Real Red, Coastal Cabana & Crumb Cake; Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, White Embossing Powder, White Stampin' Chalk Marker, Stampin' Sponges

Stamps: Sketched Birthday, Hardwood Paper: Naturals White, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Whisper White Ink: Whisper White, Soft Suede Accessories: Stampin Write Markers - Real Red, Coastal Cabana & Crumb Cake; Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, White Embossing Powder, White Stampin' Chalk Marker, Stampin' Sponges

Stamps:   Oh Hello, Banner Blast (SAB) Hardwood   Paper:   Naturals White, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White, Fresh Prints DSP Stack    Ink:   Whisper White, Soft Suede, Real Red, Coastal Cabana   Accessories:    Banner Punch (SAB),  White Embossing Powder, White Stampin' Chalk Marker, Stampin' Sponges

Stamps: Oh Hello, Banner Blast (SAB) Hardwood Paper: Naturals White, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White, Fresh Prints DSP Stack  Ink: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Real Red, Coastal Cabana Accessories:  Banner Punch (SAB),  White Embossing Powder, White Stampin' Chalk Marker, Stampin' Sponges

I managed to redeem myself a little in the hand drawn lines on these two.

For each of the cards, I stuck to the colour scheme of Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake, taken from the lovely Fresh Prints DSP Stack, with some Soft Suede added in for my Hardwood (wood/clear) background.

Have a technique or project that you'd like to get up close and personal with?  I'd love to come and share it with you in a workshop, and give you the finished products when they're done :-)

Workshops are a great way to spend a couple of hours, giving you insight into new stampin' products and techniques, plus the chance to get hands on when you might not ordinarily give yourself the opportunity to be creative.

My favourite workshop moments are often provided by the ladies that come for a coffee and a chat and find within themselves a love of creating that they had never previously discovered, or even thought for a moment could have been there.

Check out more information, including what's on offer in terms of hostess dollars for your workshop sales, and contact me to arrange a date.  I have limited availability for the remainder of March, but am always happy to try and squeeze something in.  Alternatively, I am also booking for April and beyond.

Let's get our ink on :-D

Sale-a-bration 2014 - get the lowdown...

SAB banner.jpg

The biggest and best event of the stampin' year has arrived, and somehow it's biggerer and betterer than ever.  It never ceases to amaze me how Stampin' Up! manage to outdo themselves every year...

Join me for a magical mystery tour of the 2014 Sale-a-bration promotion, kicking off with the delightful brochure, which will open for you as a PDF in a new window with one click on the image below....

Now let's break it down *wiggida wiggida*

shop.jpg

How about a 10% discount before we even start...?!

In previous years, the spend amount to score a free Sale-a-bration product was $100.  Now it's only $90.  Bonus!

This year there are 13 different free products to select from. THIRTEEN!!  Does anybody else remember the days when there were just four?!

This year's freebie offering is inclusive of four stamp sets, an embossing folder, a punch, a set of Designer Series Paper and accessory pack (both of which co-ordinate with one of the stamp sets), a card kit, a packaging kit, a banner kit and two digital downloads.

Truly something for everyone!

Head to pages 11-17 of the brochure to check out the freebies on offer this year...

And for something else new and different this year, Stampin' Up! has released some pre-selected and coordinated product bundles that add up neatly to just over the $90 qualification mark, to make your shopping experience awesomely streamlined!

Be brilliant indeed... ;-)

If you're more of a free-spirit and happy to wing it without the assistance of bundles, here's the link to my online store so you can go for gold. (I would encourage you to pay particularly close attention to the divinely gorgeous Occasions Catalogue, also just released today...)

Hostess dollars are fun at the best of times, but a party during Sale-a-bration can help you maximise the hostess dollars and effectively take a flame thrower to your stampin' wishlist.

Host a $500 party between now and March 31st and you get to shop for $130 in free stuff from any current catalogue.

Crack the $600 mark and you get $150 in free stuff PLUS a half price item and it only gets better the higher your party total goes.

Let's party!

The demonstrator opportunity has become progressively more accessible since the time I joined almost eight years ago, as well as providing a whole lot more reasons to hang around once you've signed on the dotted line.

During Sale-a-bration, the already low joining price of $169 will score you $255 in products of your choosing from any current catalogue, which is $20 more than you'd ordinarily get to choose, representing a bonus of almost 15% and what amounts to a discount of over 30% if you were to purchase the components of your "kit" individually.

It's almost slightly unreasonable NOT to consider such an opportunity, and if your wishlist exceeds the $169 mark (which it's almost guaranteed to once you see what's going on inside the pages of the Occasions Catalogue...), then I would encourage you to give it a shot.

A test drive, if you will.

With a massive array of benefits and no penalties for dropping out if you decide it's not for you, you quite literally have nothing to lose.

Join us!  I'd love to welcome you to my team of wonderful stampers.

So there you have it, the nutshell that is the Sale-a-bration promotion for 2014.

Exciting much?!

I can't wait to share some of the things I have been creating with all of these new delights. (Oh, that's another perk of being a demonstrator - pre-order a whole MONTH prior to the general public being able to get at the new stuff..)

Keep popping in, I promise it will be worth your while... ;-)
