It's with a heavy heart that I'm stopping in today, to share news of Stampin' Up!'s soon to be discontinued digital design software, MDS.
As is the case with all companies and all products, Stampin' Up! continually evaluates their product offering to ensure the best possibility for growth and success for all of their demonstrators, and as such, the decision has been taken to discontinue offering MDS and My Digital Studio as of May 31st.
As a member of the Design Team, part of the crew that travelled around Australia and New Zealand back in 2013 when it was first released to deliver training sessions to our South Pacific market, and a huge fan of digital design for a good many reasons, I will admit that the news saddens me a great deal. A quick glance through my MDS gallery is enough to show how versatile the program is and how useful it can be for so very many applications.
If you'll indulge me momentarily, I'd love to share some of those versatile applications of the software in some of my favourite projects here again... *sniff*

If you tend towards a glass half full kind of outlook, then you'll be pleased to know that any investment that you've made in the program or downloads up until this point will still be usable beyond the cancellation date of the software. The software will still work as it always has, there will just be no future updates or technical support.
In better news, there is an option to use the downloads in alternative digital programs such as Photoshop if you're so inclined. In order to do this, it will be necessary to re-download your content so it may be used in programs other than MDS.
You'll first need to sign into your online account and navigate to the Downloads tab. For each download in your account, click on Download Again...
This will bring up a window where you get to choose the format in which you will download the content. Select Other Applications (Mac or Windows), then hit the Start Download button.
Repeat this process for all of your downloaded content, which will then be available in Zip files on your computer. These files will contain the JPG, SVG or PNG files of all the stamps, embellishments etc from your digital content.
All My Digital Studio downloads will also still be available until May 31st, so if there is any digital content that you would love to have access to but have yet to purchase, I suggest you do so, and follow the steps above to ensure that you can use it on an ongoing basis.
Thanks for indulging my brief trip back through MDS memory lane this morning...
