A rose is a rose...

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen the fabulous time I've been having with my Blendabilities of late. After spending yesterday between sleeping on the couch and going back to bed with some kind of annoying virus, I pulled out my Blendies after dinner, sat in front of the tv in my jammies and just coloured.

It was lovely.

Here was the work in progress...

And here's was I just finished turning it into about 10 minutes ago...

With such a large image, I wasn't sure where to start in terms of making it into a card, so I scoured some of my favourite sketch blogs and landed on Sketch #238 from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge over at the Sweetest Thing...

With such a large and dominating image as the rose, this sketch had just the right amount of additional embellishments so as to allow the rose to be the main feature, whilst still adding some interest.

For the little circle/banner feature, I paired a Very Vintage Designer Button with an Antique Brad and added a snippet of green from one of the sheets of Under the Tree Specialty DSP, punched with the sweet Banner Punch...

I've been madly preparing for the upcoming Party Time event in Perth, where Stampin' Up! has partnerd with local demonstrators to bring a fabulous stampin' day to the peeps of Perth. I couldn't be more excited!

I will post separately with all the registration details - it's open to everyone and as always, the more stampers the better!
