I demonstrated the chalkboard technique at a workshop last weekend and used this card along with two others to show how one simple idea, with just a few tweaks, can provide a number of different outcomes, suitable to a number of different occasions.
I also love using the White Stampin' Chalk Marker to add an extra chalkiness to the project, although clearly, I could use some practise in the drawing of a straight line....
This is why I stamp - the lines are included, no drawing required.
Here are the other two examples I showed at the workshop and gave to the hostess...
I managed to redeem myself a little in the hand drawn lines on these two.
For each of the cards, I stuck to the colour scheme of Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake, taken from the lovely Fresh Prints DSP Stack, with some Soft Suede added in for my Hardwood (wood/clear) background.
Have a technique or project that you'd like to get up close and personal with? I'd love to come and share it with you in a workshop, and give you the finished products when they're done :-)
Workshops are a great way to spend a couple of hours, giving you insight into new stampin' products and techniques, plus the chance to get hands on when you might not ordinarily give yourself the opportunity to be creative.
My favourite workshop moments are often provided by the ladies that come for a coffee and a chat and find within themselves a love of creating that they had never previously discovered, or even thought for a moment could have been there.
Check out more information, including what's on offer in terms of hostess dollars for your workshop sales, and contact me to arrange a date. I have limited availability for the remainder of March, but am always happy to try and squeeze something in. Alternatively, I am also booking for April and beyond.
Let's get our ink on :-D
