Towards the end of last month, my handsome man hit a milestone birthday, and along with it, I hit a milestone of actually making a birthday card for one of my immediate family :-O
I had just recently taken delivery of
a massive brown box stuffed to the gills with new things all for meeeeeeeeee the stamp set A Fitting Occasion, which is a delightful and versatile set containing all manner of sweet images, greetings and frames. I was determined to used it, and happily enough, came across the perfect inspiration for the following card HERE
I love the combination of textures, colours and imagery on this card - whimsical enough to be fun, but not so much so that it lacks masculinity. I hope...
We celebrated with a few drinks at a local bar on a blustery Friday night, surrounded by many of the wonderful people we are so very blessed to have in our lives.
Happy birthday, baby!
SARAH'S STAMPIN' TIPS:
- Don't own a greeting stamp that fits your occasion? Make your own! The Simply Serif Mini Alphabet is small enough that you can make any manner of greeting to suit the occasion that your card is for
- Combine different embossing folders for a visual/textural feast! At $13.95 each, they're an inexpensive way to add some wow to your cards and projects
- First Edition Specialty DSP goes with everything. And you get 24 12"x12" sheets of double-sided paper in a pack so it lasts for ages too. Get some...
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions about today's card! Or to wish my man a slightly belated birthday and let him know how hot he is for an old bloke...
