Some very dear friends of ours (*waving* Turtle and Hegs!) have a bunch (well three anyway!) of gorgeous boys, the latest of whom - Charlie - was christened earlier this year. This brought up a dilemma as to what I could do for a card, as I don't own any stamps that would really do the job for a christening, and boy cards challenge me at the best of times... Hmmmm... a little outside the sqaure thinking was required.... Here's what I came up with in the end...
I created the cross by using my paper piercing template and just punching the outline. It took a bit of trial and error to get the proportions and spacing right. Then I masked around the cross using post-it notes and stamped the swirl from Priceless inside the post-its, following with some sponging for more definition. A tiny touch of glitter (this is a boy's card after all!) and that part was done!
The rest is layering of a variety of blue tones and a touch of ribbon! What do you think...? Ok for a handsome little man's christening?!
