Kristina's colour inspiration #18!

As a bit of a change from the last two colour inspirations I took part in, instead of raining and dismal, today it is sunny and springtime-ish, so I have hung out my washing and manage to squueze in an entry to Kristina's colour challenge too....only just in the nick of time though!  Here's the inspiration picture:

And here is my ode to an almost Spring day based on this fairly challenging combination of colours!

I'm not sure if white is allowed to be included when it's not one of the designated challenge colours, so I left it out, which was a challenge in itself!  These are extremely bold colours in combination, but I'm quite happy with the result :)

I started with a Die Cut Bloom in Pumpkin Pie from the new Spring Mini catalogue, added a Green Galore button and some Rose Red brads, then kind of let it evolve from there!  The 'grass' is just a piece of Green Galore that I've chopped into with my paper snips (I think I saw this idea in a recent edition of our demonstrator newsletter....), and the leaf is another bit of Green Galore that I folded in half, fed through my paper crimper at an angle and snipped into a leaf shape!

The sentiment is one of my FAVOURITE sayings, and is from the 'A Perfect Day' set of rub-ons, also from the Spring mini, and the background, although I was tempted to leave it bare, is Polka Dot, stamped in Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Hope you're having a springtime-ish day, and if not, I hope you're stampin' ;o)
