The last of the 5 year olds in Hannah's pre-primary class had her birthday party last weekend! I believe that the 6 year olds kick off this week - phew!! Here is the card I made for Abbey...
I haven't used the cake image from Fun & Fast Notes very much, so thought I would bust it out in some nice girly colours! The candles were also crying out for the bling treatment, so I added a bit of that too, as you can kind of see in the close up to the right :)
My colour combination came from the Colour Coach as I knew I wanted to make it funky and 5 year old girl-ish so pointed to Pixie Pink. It suggested I put it together with Orchid Opulence and Certainly Celery, so I duly obeyed and added Barely Banana just for fun.
I coloured the image using an aquapainter and ink from the lids of my ink pads and added a shadow of Going Gray for depth.
