I scrapped!

I have been meaning to scrap this photo of my little one Sophie for a number of months now - ever since I saw the photo for the first time and immediately decided that it was scrap-worthy!  Not sure why I've been putting it off for quite so long, but a couple of days ago, armed with BH&G Scrapbooks etc (issue Feb/March 2008 p 78 if you're interested!!) I sat down and did it in not much more than an hour!

Another thing I haven't done for a while (aside from scrapbooking itself!) is to use Garden Green in anything!  Well I did that too!

The patterned paper at the left of the page is Polka Dots and Petals stamped in Staz On onto Naturals Ivory cardstock and coloured in with an aquapainter and ink.  I coloured a couple of extras and punched them out using various sized circle punches and stuck them on the lower right to balance it all out.

The flowers are from the Pretties Kit and coloured using sponge daubers with Ruby Red and Cameo Coral Ink, and I whacked a Very Vanilla button in the middle tied with Linen Thread.

The top and bottom borders are scalloped using the new, smaller corner rounder punch with the guide removed.  The words that are stuck onto the photo are not really visible, but they are from So Many Sayings, and say "happiness", "joy", and "absolute bliss" - perfect sentiments for this picture of a little person running barefoot in the middle of a gorgeously green park  I thought :)

Here's a bit of a close up of some of the detail (and I just realised that now you can see the words too!):
