My littlest girl has just recently started going to a Family Daycare for a couple of days a week - Mummy has designated work days...YAY! One of the little fellows that goes on the same day as Sophie is having a birthday on Monday, so I thought I'd make him a card :)
I have to admit that boy cards don't come as easily to me as girl cards, but I DO love this one!!
The stamp set is one that retired from last year's catalogue but I just LOVE the images in it.
I stamped the aeroplane onto watercolour paper and coloured the outlines with markers. Then I dragged the colours in to the centre with an aquapainter. I love watercolouring like this :) I then outlined the plane in grey ink, again with the aquapainter, and cut it out.
For the sky (and I'm SO excited that I thought of this myself!!) I punched a cloud shape out of a piece of copy paper the same size as the Bashful Blue card using three different sizes of circle punches. Then I stuck the mask to the card using the two-way glue pen (dried) and sponged white craft ink through the hole.
The little flight path is randomly pierced using my paper piercer and the plane is mounted up on dimensionals.Stamps: Toy Box (retired), Eat Cake (happy birthday greeting) Paper: Creamy Caramel, Real Red, Bashful Blue, Watercolour Paper Ink: Staz On Jet Black, Whisper White craft, Brilliant Blue Accessories: Stampin' Write Markers, Paper Piercing Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponges, Circle punches (1-1/4", 3/4" and 1/2")
