I have some baby cards to share. Actually two cards that are effectively one card but in different colours - one for a girl and one for a boy :)
She was born just three weeks ago yesterday, but due to the horrible flu that I had at the time it was almost TWO WHOLE WEEKS until I got a snuggle! Needless to say by the time I got my hands on her, which happened to coincide with a family Easter gathering, I TOTALLY hogged her and nobody else got a look in!
This card was made with the recently retired hostess set Love It - a great set for this kind of card, especially in baby colours. The colours here are the very understated combination of Bluch Blossom and Barely Banana with Very Vanilla as the background.
You'll notice a repeat of the 'dry embossed-esque' punched circles from this previous post. I tend to go through phases where I do something over and over again, then forget about it when a new technique or idea catches my eye! I do like this one though...
Here is the boy version of the card that I made for the folks who run our FAVOURITE icecream place! They are the sweetest people and they make REALLY good icecream! Actually gelato if you want to get technical....
Aaaaanyway, I used the exact same stamp set, ribbon and background colour, just changed the main colours. You can also see the matching stamped envelope underneath :)
In this card I mounted the central image up on dimensionals. I can't remember if I did that on the other one - doesn't look like it... I like the way this small detail makes quite a difference to the card.
Colours this time are Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue. Which one do you like best...?
