The All About U set is one that I HAD to have when I first started with Stampin' Up! and I don't use it nearly enough, ut I do love it and it was perfect for this card :)
Jut for fun, I thought I would make up another card using exactly the same layout and stamp set, but with a decidedly more girly look to it. This time I chose the Loves Me range of DP from the summer mini.
Here is something fun to try.... You will notice the two white brads on the spotted strip at the left of the card. Now if you are paying attention (and if you know your Stampin' Up! catalogue as well as you should..!!) you would know that they don't actually carry white brads in their product range. So what do you do in such a situation when nothing but a white brad will do..? You make your own!!
Just grab whatever colour metallic brad you have on hand (I used silver). Press the head of the brad into Versamark then dip it into white embossing powder. Now if you're not using tweezers at this point, now is when you might want to grab them if you'd prefer to keep your fingertips intact... Heat the embossing powder dipped brad with your heat gun until the powder melts and voila - shiny white brad!! Did everybody manage to follow along with that explanation or are pictorial accompaniments required? Just let me know and I'll see if I can knock together a quick tutorial...
