I'm baaaaaaack!

Wow talk about prolonged absence!  Apologies to those of you who check in frequently wondering if I may have uploaded something new and discovering that no, in fact I have not.  Thanks also to those of you who emailed and said that you enjoyed my work and were looking forward to some more stuff soon :) I'm pleased to report that our computer problems are fixed, I have my beloved Photoshop back and I have completed the enormous wedding job requiring 120 very involved invitations incorporating crystals and feathers.  That was actually one of the main reasons for my prolonged absence, but I don't think I actually mentioned it before.  Anyway, it's finished and delivered now, so I have my life back!

What I haven't figured out is which of the blogs in my list of links caused the badware issue that I had, so what I think I'll do is add them in again, maybe a few at a time every few days to see if the problem comes back.  That way if there is a problem, I'll have a smaller list of blogs to narrow it down to!  Sounds like a plan??

So anyway, now I am back in full workshopping swing and am also pleased to report a swelling in my team ranks in the form of four new team members - Jo, Ali, Wilma and Pauline!  Welcome ladies to A Klass Act!  It's great to have you aboard and I'm sure you're gonna LOVE this stampin' adventure ;)

I have also neglected to mention until this point in time that the single biggest sale of the Stampin' Up! year is ON and has been since the beginning of January!  Sale-a-bration is a-happenin' and everyone can get in on the FREE STAMPS action!

As a customer, every $100 that you spend in a single transaction allows you to choose one of the four limited time free stamp sets from the Sale-a-bration brochure.  Spend $200 and you can choose 2 sets - there's no limit to the number of sets you can earn!

The news is also good for hostesses!  In addition to the FREE stamps you can earn as a customer, hostesses whose workshop total reaches $600 or more can also choose a Sale-a-bration set.  Host a $1200 workshop and receive 2 sets and so on.

And then?  Well there's more!  New demonstrators signing up with Stampin' Up! during Sale-a-bration can also choose an additional FREE stamp set (any value) from the current Idea Book and Catalogue on top of the already fabulous value of the Starter Kit!  And if the demonstrator opportunity interests you, contact me for information on how you can get an additional 10% discount on your kit until the end of the month......

stem bookNow that you've got to the end of this novel (if you haven't nodded off yet) here, as a reward for your patience with me is another of my beloved Officeworks books!  The green spine of this one is pretty much a perfect match for Green Galore, so that made the job of picking colours a lot easier!  I also used Kraft to match in with the colour of the book itself.

All i did with this one is make up a panel and stick it on the front, so the kraft colour around the edges of the Green Galore layer is actually just the cover of the book - SO simple!

Here's what I used:

Stamp sets: Silhouette Stems, French Script, Expressive Flexible Phrases

Cardstock: Green Galore, Kraft, Whisper White

Ink: Sahara Sand, Green Galore, Whisper White

Accessories: White grosgrain ribbon, Linen Thread, Bold Brights Brads, Stampin' Sponges

Here is a bit of a close up of the stamped detail...

The final thing that I am pleased to report is that there will be something to pop in and look at here every day for the next week or so!  And I can PROMISE you that this is the case as I have already prepared the posts and time stamped them to upload daily until the 10th of February!!  Oh the wonder of modern blogging software :)  It's just as well that the posts are pre-written and organised as my big girl is starting pre-school next week, meaning I will be required to be up and organised and out of the house looking vaguely presentable EVERY MORNING at 8.30am!  While I realise that this is a daily event for many people, it's not something I've had to concern myself with up until now and jammies until at least 10am is a regular occurrence at our place :)  But I think I'm up for the challenge...
