A very 'Mary' Christmas!

I used to love Stampin' Up! from afar before they made it to our wide brown land and one of the things that I used to love the most (that unfortunately was retired from their product line before they came to Australia) was memo blocks! Big cubes of paper, glued one one side and perfect to stamp for a handmade gift! Well imagine my delight at finding something very similar at kikki.k - an online stationery store that I was casually browsing a few weeks before Christmas!

mary xmas 07 Although it is not a perfect cube, there is still plenty of space to stamp, and an added bonus is a little hole at the top for a pen! For this one, I used the Basic Outline jumbo wheel from the Summer Mini and the co-ordinating Bud Basics stamp set to "colour in". This set was not one of my absolute must haves when I first saw the mini catalogue, but I LOVE using it for quick but delightful background stamping! I also love how the stamps in the set can be used in a 2-step stamping way with the wheel!

I made this cube up as a little Christmas gift for my lovely Aunty Mary, hence the post title. Merry Christmas Aunty Mair - hope you like it. xoxo
