Helpful stranger interlude...

Just interrupting my flow of posting cards with a story about my day...... Today was nasty day in Perth in terms of weather - started out a bit rainy, but nothing too horrible. This afternoon however, the heavens opened and as luck would have it, I was doing my food shopping with my big girl at the time. By the time we had finished out trundle around Coles, the rain was falling sideways due to the gale force winds! We stood making polite conversation for a while with the small gathering of people at the doors of the shopping centre. all of whom were hoping for a bit of a break in the weather so they could do the sprint to their cars.

A kind older gent suggested that it might be an idea for me to drive up on the paving getting as close to the doors as possible so we could load our shopping in without getting too wet. He offered to look after my trolley full of shopping while Hannah and I made a run for it when the rain eased off ever so slightly. So that's what we did! In these days of such extreme horror and unnecessary violence in our world, it was lovely to be offered such a sweet gesture by a perfect stranger with no gain for himself. Not that he is ever likely to come across my blog, but to the gentleman at Noranda Palms shopping centre who so kindly took charge of my shopping this afternoon, thank you :)
