These past couple of months, I have been participating in a series of techniques swaps organised by the fabulously talented Tracey in my stampin' team. The June swap was based on the technique of Masking. For those of you unfamiliar with this technique, you can view a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here. This was my contribution to the swapping effort:
The masked part is the flower - first I stamped it in Rose Red, then masked it before stamping the dot pattern from Background Sampler over the top in Certainly Celery. The scallop edge on the Rose Red card is done with the Corner Rounder punch. I'm not sure that you can read the words, but they say "happiness always". I am loving these little words! Have used them a lot recently. They are from Expressive Flexible Phrases.
This month, the swap theme is Watercolouring. Best get cracking on those ones shortly.....!
