Never one to say no to a free stamp set, I was happy to claim my Reason to Smile set last month (hello, demonstrator perk #5652!), which this month is available to YOU!
Simply place an order for $125 (before shipping) and then just choose between wood mount and clear mount, and away you go! Alternatively, you can purchase this limited time set for $35.95 in wood mount or $28.95 in clear.
Here’s an example of it in a card that I made for a recent challenge that we did in my fabulous stampin’ team…
The challenge, set by the lovely Louise of Inkyloulou Designs, had us combine our most recently acquired stamp set (no prizes for guessing mine!) and our favourite colour, which in the particular half hour window that I made this card, was Early Espresso. I have had several favourites since then – I’m sure you know how it is
To get the floral design on the main panel of the card, I first stamped the flower outline in Versamark, then embossed it with White Embossing Powder. Then I loaded up a Sponge Dauber with More Mustard ink and rubbed it in a circular motion over the embossed image. I did the same with a Sponge Dauber loaded with Cajun Craze and and dipped on one side into Early Espresso ink for the flower centres, then painted over the images with an Aquapainter to make the colours a little more intense.
If you have any questions about techniques involved in this card, or anything about how I put it together, please don’t hesitate to get in touch
SARAH’S STAMPIN’ TIPS:
- Layering different widths of ribbon is a great way to add more interest, colour and texture to your cards
- Rub a tissue over your embossed image after sponging to remove excess ink and make your embossed image pop
