I‘m a long-time stationery nerd with a passion for all things paper and ink, so when Stampin’ Up! spread their wings downunder early in 2006, I just knew it was the perfect opportunity for me.
Seven years, a super supportive husband and extended family, a second beautiful little girl and lots of new stampin’ friends later, I can’t imagine a time when I wouldn’t have Stampin’ Up! in my life.
I get no end of enjoyment sharing this wonderful craft with my customers and hostesses, and could never have imagined that I would welcome over 50 members to my A Klass Act stampin’ team (which is growing all the time!) and be honoured with a place in the Top 25 demonstrators in Australia for three years running.
Thanks to the opportunity to present on stage at Convention and regional events, as well as speaking to groups of stampers every week at in-home workshops I have managed to conquer what had been a deep-seated fear of public speaking, never mind that I can hold a passable conversation in a couple of different web languages now as a result of the steep but thoroughly enjoyable learning curve that has been writing a blog these past few years!
And I can honestly say that my stamping has improved a hundred fold too, so much so that I can hardly stand to recall my very first workshop cards back in May 2006!
These days I share my love of stamping with in-home workshops and various classes that I run from my home in Bayswater, Western Australia, as well as getting together with my stamping team both at regular stamping days and in our online team forum.
Stampin’ Up! has provided me with so many amazing opportunities and friendships and I will be ever thankful for that day in January 2006 when I found out they were headed this way!
